Before we begin, make sure you have 7-zip installed in your computer. If you dont have 7-zip installed, go to http://www.7-zip.org/download.html to download the correct version of 7-zip for your operating system. (OHTN users mostly will need 7-zip 64 bit version. See screenshot below)



Once you have downloaded and installed 7-zip, please follow the instructions below: 


Select the folder you want to encrypt and right click. Select "7-Zip" and select "Add to Archive..." 



Make sure to specify file name (Step 1) and make sure you are using a password that has small letters, capital letters, numbers and symbols. The bigger the password, the better. (Step 2). (If you dont want the file names to be visible without entering the password by the recipient, make sure to click the "encrypt file names" checkbox)



Once you have entered the file name and password, press OK. You will see your encrypted 7-zip file in the same directory as your original file.  



You have now successfully encrypted your files using 7-zip. Send this files to the intended recipients.
