TREAT
Q&A of Appts. vs. Notes - three scenarios: - whichever is used the activity(ies) data is captured for reporting
ONE: some sessions are simply an appointment with activity(ies) alone - you can use this if you do not require a lot of case noting, Save and you're finished. These cannot be 'Lockboxed' and they can be edited at any time.
OR
TWO: some sessions are simply a progress note with activity(ies) alone - you can use this if you do require a lot of case noting, sign the Note and you're finished. These can be 'Lockboxed' so that only authorized TREAT users can see them. The Progress Notes are not editable after 72 hours.
OR
THREE: some sessions begin as appointments and then they can have a progress note linked. Either the appt alone, the note alone or both can have activity(ies) added - unlike above, the appt. linked to a note is considered one session. In this scenario you will only need to add activity(ies) to either the appointment or the notes. You do not have to add the same activity(ies) to both areas. To use this [appt. link to note] feature, it is important to maintain the link, therefore, click Save and Link to Individual Note on the Appointment, the Note appears on your screen, do not make any changes or selections, go directly to select a subject, write or paste the note and add activity(ies) if needed. If you make a selection in the note, you break the link and this creates an Exception scenario.
Refer to Appendix IX for more details about the Lockbox feature in TREAT.
